Having always been a poet, the literary world was no stranger.  Mel always found it easier to express herself in written form.  She is the author of "Do You See What I See?", a children's book created to foster self love in young children. She also serves as the VP of Diamond Operations for The Diamond Writers where is also a contributing author in the anthologies "Beneath The Crown: Her Story, Her Power, Her Voice" and "Valid Transparency: Poetic Confessions of A Transparent Gem". She is the host of Truth Hurts on the Hustle & Shine podcast .
